Happy Harvest

Its been a few days since I submitted my card and I just found out that I won an honorable gnome, yay!!!!!

Hello Fellow Readers and Crafter's,

It is a tradition to celebrate the Harvest of crops this time of year. I will be sending this card to my Great Uncle. He has been farming since he was a boy and he is still "rooted" at the family farm. He continues to serve the farming community in his town. He mows the lawn of some of the oldest sites as a good deed. When I visited last I was able to see an old school house and old home. We need to preserve our history and that is what he helps do.

Here is the card that I want to share I was very happy to make this one, the stamp set is just so much fun!!!

The stamp set I used is made by Lawn Fawn and the name of it is Happy Harvest. I started out by stamping the scarecrow and birds and than I did a lot of masking. I colored the image in using copic markers and I added some Wink of Stella for a touch of glitter. For the sky I used distress ink. To add texture I used candy corn twine from Lawn Fawn. I also added a leaf using Lawn Fawn's small stitched leafs and I dye cut it using paper from Doodlebug Designs. I did add Wink of Stella to the leaf and glossy accents for texture.

I choose to add the sentiment on the inside of the card with a wheelbarrow of pumpkins. How cute.  I will be entering my card into the Lawnscaping Challenge, for more information follow the link at the bottom of my page. Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Harvest month!!!!!:)

Water color hop

Pretty Pink Posh watercolor BLOG HOP

There is a blog hop going on, hosted by Pretty Pink Posh! It is all about water color. I have grown to love water color painting. I normally use Gansai Tambi water color paints or Spectrum Aqua markers and Tim Holtz distress inks.

In to days card I used Spectrum Aqua markers for the backround. My little dinosaur was colored on vellum using prismacolors.

crabby

For this card I used a stamp set by Hero arts " Stamp your own succulents".  The crab was from a Lawn Fawn set "Life is good". I colored the stamps with Copic markers. I added some detail to the succulents using a white stampers big brush marker by Faber-Castell. I added clear wink of stella to the crab and dots of white to the cheeks with a gel pen. The ribbon was easily threaded through using a ribbon punch from We r Memory Keepers. Enjoy:)

Ella

I used a Mama Elephant's stamp set, "Ella & Friend's". For the background I used some embossing paste with a stencil and some distress ink. When the embossing paste dried I used some permapaque markers to add color. The leaves were stamped and embossed using Mama Elephant's stamp set "Freestyle Florals".
ENJOY:)
